Nihar Shanti Pathshala Funwala initiative

Bhopal: Marico Limited has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh to introduce a Teacher Empowerment Programme under its Nihar Shanti Pathshala Funwala initiative. In line with the brand’s commitment to enable children’s education, this initiative aims to equip government school teachers with a unique teaching pedagogy and an innovative approach, thereby enabling them to teach English in an improved manner.
The MoU was signed by Smt. Jaishri Kiyavat (IAS), Commissioner Rajya Shiksha Kendra of Madhya Pradesh.
The programme, which is being implemented in association with an NGO partner ‘LeapForWord’ will empower government school teachers in English language teaching pedagogy and support them with quality training material and improved in-class teaching experience. The highly structured, modular and measurable programme will aid them with the right know-how to quickly grasp English language. The programme is offered free of cost and will provide high quality digital training material to strengthen the school teachers’ capacity. This is enhancing usability of the current curriculum and will act as a catalyst in improving Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) and National Achievement Survey (NAS) scores.
With an aim to increase the English literacy rate among students as well as create a scalable and sustainable model that benefits the whole state, the programme has been initially launched in Bhopal zone – covering 5 districts.
