Bhopal : During the Swachchta Fortnight, a team of IndianOil’s employees led by Satish Kumar, Executive Director, cleaned the lake at Stop no. 5 in Bhopal. The employees of IndianOil worked shoulder to shoulder with workers of Bhopal Municipal Corporation, to spread the message that cleanliness is everybody’s job, irrespective of social status. After the campaign, the workers of Municipality were honoured with mementoes by Satish Kumar, Executive Director of IndianOil.
An official press release said IndianOil is the Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking. It had achieved a turnover of over Rs 6 Lakh crore in the last fiscal. It has been ranked 137 in the list of global Fortune 500 companies.
IndianOil owns 11 of 23 Refineries in the country. IndianOil accounts for nearly half of India’s petroleum products market share.
IndianOil’s business interests encompass the hydrocarbon value chain. From Refining, transporting through pipelines, marketing to the exploration of crude oil and gas, petrochemicals, gas marketing, alternative energy sources and globalization of downstream operations. It has joint ventures or subsidiaries in Lanka, Mauritius, UAE, Singapore and USA. For transportation of crude oil and finished products within the country, it has a network of 13,400 Km of cross-country pipeline. IndianOil has more than 1000 patents to its credit.
In the country, it serves motorists through its more than 27,000 petrol pumps which include 7700 Kisan Seva Kendras. IndianOil’s cooking gas Indane reaches about 13 crore households, through more than 10,00 distributors.
As a responsible Corporate citizen, Madhya State Office of IndianOil has done a number of CSR activities in MP and Chattisgarh, like constructing a hostel for Divyang children and providing waste collection vans to municipal corporations of Indore and Bhopal.
