Hindustan Coca-Cola announces setting up of Bottling Plant in Madhya Pradesh

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., (HCCBPL) the largest bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company in India, announced the groundbreaking for a-state-of-the-art Bottling Plant in Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh.

Rajendra Shukla, Industry Minister, Madhya Pradesh laid the foundation stone that will be the starting point for the construction in the presence of Senior Executives  of the Coca-Cola System, Ministers and Senior Officials of the State Government, elected People’s representatives and people from the local community. The new plant is being built in Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN) Babai Industrial Area, Hoshangabad at an investment of Rs. 750 crore in a phased manner.

coca-cola-4Those Senior Government officials present included Surya Prakash Meena, District In-charge Minister – Hoshangabad, Rao Uday Pratap Singh, Member of Parliament, Vijay Pal Singh, Member of Legislative Assembly, Mohammed Suleman, I. A. S., Principal Secretary – Industry, J. N. Vyas, Managing Director – AKVN, senior executives such as Irial Finan, President, Bottling Investment Group (BIG), John Murphy, President, Asia Pacific Group from the Coca-Cola system and leadership team of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd..

T. Krishnakumar, Chairman & CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. & Region Director-South Asia, said, “We are privileged to have Industry Minister Mr Shukla and other dignitaries to lay the foundation stone for this bottling plant. This brings to life the commitment outlined in the MOU signed at Global Investor Summit in 2014. coca-cola-6Rajendra Shukla, Industry Minister, Madhya Pradesh addressed the gathering. He congratulated Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages and its management on this momentous occasion and assured all support from the state government. He also expressed hope that many more industries will come up in this area and fuel economic growth.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages has received possession of 110 acres of land from AKVN to set up a state of art bottling plant. This facility would house multiple bottling lines to produce all types of carbonated beverages such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Thums Up, Limca, juices and juice based drinks like Minute Maid and Maaza, packaged water and soda – Kinley.

This green-field bottling plant will have different wings comprising of production and warehousing building, utilities building, other support buildings, amenities areas for associates working at the plant etc. This will be a Zero discharge plant.
