PaswanHYDERABAD:Irrigation minister Harish Rao directed his officials to complete Kaleshwaram project work by the end of 2017 to ensure irri gation facilities to farmers in Adilabad, Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts. During a review meeting on Thursday , the minister fixed November 15 as the deadline for completion of Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla reservoirs. He directed his department officials to start work on the pump houses of the three reservoirs by next week so that all components get built and are ready at the same time.
The officials informed him that works related to the Kannedhara pond in Mahadevpur mandal of Karimnagar district were already launched and explained the progress made on the land acquisition front. Harish Rao said that all depart ments should work in tandem to complete the land acquisition process on time so that the dream project of CM KChandrasekhar Rao is ready by December 2017. To ensure speedy completion, the minister instructed setting up of a video-based monitoring system from Hyderabad.
He also told officials to expedite the Mallannasagar reservoir work and convened a meeting to review the ongoing work on November 10. He also asked them to ensure uninterrupted water supply to Rabi crops.
