Gurugram, October 16, 2026: Cumin Co. has announced its entry into India’s ₹6,600-crore pressure cooker market with the launch of the Treble Pressure Cooker, featuring patented three-mode cooking technology, tri-ply stainless steel construction, and a multi-layer safety system.
The Gurugram-based kitchenware brand said the new product is designed to address evolving cooking habits in Indian households, aiming to bring enhanced functionality and material innovation to a category that has seen limited change.
Product features and technology
The Treble Pressure Cooker uses 18/8 food-grade surgical stainless steel in a tri-ply construction for even heat distribution. The cooker is compatible with all cooktops and is intended to handle a range of Indian cooking needs, from high-heat preparations to dishes with acidic ingredients.
Its key innovation is the MaestroValve™, a patented pressure-control technology that allows users to select from three cooking modes—Steam for vegetables, momos, and dhokla; Cook for staples like dal, rice, and pulao; and Express for dishes such as rajma, chole, and meat. According to Cumin Co., the Express mode can enable cooking up to 30% faster. The technology replaces traditional regulator weights with a single dial for easier management of different cooking requirements.
Safety and design details
The cooker features a three-layer pressure-release system comprising a regulator, safety valve, and gasket-release pathway. Other features include vertical steam release, a caged valve to help prevent foam and debris from blocking the steam pathway, pressure and lid-lock indicators, and cool-touch handles. It also offers minimum and maximum fill markings, a removable gasket that can be replaced without tools, and a common lid compatible with both 3.5-litre and 5.5-litre models. The product comes with a five-year warranty.
Statements from company founders
“The pressure cooker is indispensable to Indian cooking, yet consumers have largely learnt to work around its limitations rather than expect more from it. We see an opportunity to move the category beyond price and capacity towards a better cooking experience, driven by thoughtful engineering, better materials and meaningful functionality,” said Niharika Joshi, Co-founder, Cumin Co.
Udit Lekhi, Co-founder, Cumin Co., added, “We approached the pressure cooker as an engineering challenge, rethinking how it distributes heat, adapts to different cooking needs and communicates pressure and readiness. Our aim was to make a familiar kitchen essential work better for the diversity of Indian cooking, without adding complexity or asking consumers to change their habits.”
Retail strategy and availability
The Treble Pressure Cooker will initially be available through Cumin Co’s direct-to-consumer website, with a phased rollout planned for online marketplaces and offline retail. Pricing and purchase details will be announced closer to the launch date.
