Media Expo will host its first awards night recognising outstanding work in indoor and OOH advertising industry. Taking this a notch higher, the awards ceremony will also felicitate top vendors working in the background. Nominations for the coveted awards are now open!
Advertising is a powerful tool. A brilliantly conceptualised advertisement can not only build a brand economically but can also can break stereotypes, change perceptions, and help a brand make lasting relationships with their target audience. To honour the creativity and hard work that goes behind these brand campaigns, Messe Frankfurt India has announced the launch of the first edition of Media Expo Excellence Awards (MEA) 2020. A marquee event in its sector, Media Expo has given a platform to new and veteran companies alike to showcase their most advanced technologies to the right markets. The gala night, also a part of the exhibition that will be hosted in February 2020 at Bombay Exhibition Center, will help recognise outstanding contributors behind the greatest campaigns in OOH and indoor advertising sector.
Advertising revenue in India is expected to grow by 15.20% between 2018-2023, to reach INR 1,23,270 crore in 2023. While the ad spending is also projected to grow by 15% in 2019 displaying the efforts put by creative advertisers to constantly upgrade the industry. A successful brand campaign involves equal participation from the media agencies that ideate the campaign to vendors used to execute it. To encourage the “behind the scene” heroes that contribute to innovative concepts and new technologies used for brand campaigns, MEA 2020 has charted down two major categories: Creative Category and Vendor Nomination Category. An initiation by MEA to felicitate not only the media agencies but also the vendors used for the OOH advertisements. The nominations for the awards ceremony are now open!
These categories will be further divided into distinctive sub-categories like Innovative use of Hoardings/Billboards (Non-lit), Innovative use of ambient media, Innovative use of transit media, Innovative use of digital signages, Innovative display of brand through POS/POP, Eco-friendly brand of the year, Printer of the year, Digital signage company of the year and Innovative POP Solutions/Product. Once the online nominations end, a distinguished panel of jury will be present to personally scrutinise the nominations.
Adding to the fair and transparent evaluation process, the awards will be officially tabulated by Ernst & Young (EY) Pvt Ltd, creating a definitive beacon of recognition for the entire value chain of the indoor and OOH advertising community. EY is one of the biggest accounting firms in the world who help organisations identify and capitalise on new business opportunities. The association will help add trust and value to the awards night.
A night sure to be a glittering affair in itself, will see the who’s who of the media and advertising industry including the biggest printer manufacturers, ad gurus, media agencies, outdoor planning agencies, BTL agencies, brands and vendors.
