IRSDC to felicitate skilled workers under NSDC Program, PMKVY, Skill India

Bangalore, 1st October 2019: In our effort to improve passenger amenities at Majestic Railway Station, Bangalore, our Facility Management Partner, ‘Knight Frank’ undertook a training program to skill the manpower. As we lay strong focus on the efficacy of our staff personnel, Knight Frank has successfully provided training to 122 workers stationed at the Bangalore Railway Station. Today, in presence of key officials, these 122 skilled workers will be felicitated as a part of National Skill Development Certification Program.

These trained staff are deployed in various departments at the railway station, like, housekeeping, landscaping maintenance, garbage collection, segregation and disposal, help desk, pest control, parking, facilities for disabled, retiring rooms, etc. These beneficiaries acquired training as a part of ‘Skill Development Training’ under the Prime Minister’s Kaushalya Vikas Yojna (PMKVY), Skill India Program, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.

The Training Module encapsulated theoretical, practical and soft skills that would be helpful for the workers to deliver their responsibilities efficiently. Special Trainers were deputed to train the staff members. The core objective of training these employees was to develop a pool of trained staff that is in know-how about the use of modern technology in cleaning and facility management. As a part of Felicitation Program, these 122 workers will be awarded a Certificate and also a one- time pay out of Rs 500/- to their Aadhar linked bank accounts. Each member will also be provided 3-year accidental cover under the Prime Minister Insurance Scheme. Such Training Programs are conducted on timely basis.
