Bhopal. A day-long seminar on “Making Cities Safe for Women: Engaging the Police and Majoring Women’s Safety in Madhya Pradesh” will be organized from 10 am on July 24 at the Darbar Hall of Hotel Jahanuma Palace. Representatives of institutions and individuals, gender equality experts, and human rights scholars, students and other non-governmental organizations will participate in this seminar.
Anuradha Shankar (Additional Director General of Police (Training), Madhya Pradesh), B. Vijay Dutta (Commissioner, Bhopal Municipal Corporation), Nandita Barua (India Representative, The Asia Foundation), Dr. Ranjana Kumari (Director, Center for Social Research) and Dr. Kalpana Viswanath (COO and Co-Founder, SafetyPin) will be the keynote speaker of this program.
This seminar is being organized in partnership with the SafetyPin and the Center for Social Research, the Asia Foundation and in collaboration with the Korea International Co-operation Agency. Major discussions on gender equality and social inclusion and protection of women at public and work places will be held in this seminar,
