Bernard Arnault (70), Chairman of luxury goods company LVMH of France, has replaces Bill Gates and become the world’s second richest. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has slipped to number three in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Arnault ‘s net worth rose to $ 108 billion (Rs 7.45 lakh crore) on Tuesday by 1.38% in LVMH’s stock. Gates has $ 107 billion (Rs 7.38 lakh crore).

Gates has slipped to number three for the first time in 7 years of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. In this Index net worth of the world’s 500 top rich people has updated every day after the American stock market closes.

Among the billionaires in the index, Arnault ‘s net worth has increased by $ 39 billion (Rs 2.69 lakh crore) this year which is equivalent to 3% of France’s GDP.
