Bhopal, 22 December, 2017 : Research & Scientific Society, Gandhi Medical College in collaboration with The Federation Of Gynaecological Societies Of India, Bhopal will organise a two day ‘Bhopal Endocrine Connect’ conference at Courtyard By Marriott on 23rd and 24th December. The conference will primarily discuss effects of thyroid and diabetes on infertility, pregnancy and obesity besides international developments in the field of diabetes treatment. Endocrine experts from renowned institutions of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana will share their research and experience with the participants. A newsletter titled ‘Diabetes In Pregnancy’ will also be released on the concluding day of the conference.
This was informed at a press conference organised here on Friday by the conference organising committee president Dr. K.K. Kawre and secretary Dr. Sachin Chittawar. They said that the subject experts who will address the conference include Dr. N.P. Mishra, Dr. P.C. Manoria, Dr. Sushil Jindal, Dr. Priya Chittawar, Dr. Sameer Agrawal, Dr. Rajeev Singla, Dr. Saptarishi Bhattacharya, Dr. Deepak Khandelwal, Dr. Vineet Surana, Dr. Juhi Agrawal, Dr. Viraj Jaiswal and Dr. Atul Dhingra.
Dr. Kawre said vision objective of the conference is to help elevate the care standards to the level of developed world. “There is dire need to accelerate the pace of our work because of rising prevalence, complexity and severity of diabetes and metabolic disorders,” he added.
Dr. Chittawar said that the highlight of the conference would be the latest research study on type 2 diabetes which suggests that lowering of calories in a patient’s food with medicinal support for a certain time period can fully cure type 2 diabetes. Another interesting topic would be a debate on pregnancy and diabetes & thyroid. Due to certain myths most doctors advise such patients for termination of pregnancy.
