Ocean Park Hong Kong Presents World-Class ‘Illusion’ Stage Show During Christmas Sensation 2016

This Christmas, Ocean Park Hong Kong, the unique world-class award-winning theme park, will turn into the perfect destination for the holidays.

Ocean Park introduces its Christmas Sensation this season with the stunning stage show, Cyber Illusion Spectacular, as the main event this holiday season. Kicking off on 17th December, this spellbinding show will feature breathtaking magic acts, cutting-edge visual effects and amazing live entertainment performed by internationally-acclaimed illusionists, including finalists of the reality show, Australia’s Got Talent, Michael Boyd and Soul MystiqueTM. To immerse guests in even more holiday cheer, the entire Park will be decked out with Christmas decorations, with must-see attractions including Santa Tree Hut and the Park’s signature, gigantic Christmas tree. The cast of playful ‘penguin’ characters from the all-new Penguin Dress-Up Delights are also gearing up to have some fun with guests this Christmas. Along with limited-time, Christmas-themed menus and dishes on offer, Ocean Park Christmas Sensation 2016 is set to be a must-experience festive celebration on the Advent calendar this year.

Cyber Illusion Spectacular is a breathtaking live stage show themed around illusion, magic and wonder. On a futuristic stage backed by walls of LED lights, the show features world-class illusionists, Michael Boyd and Cassandra Gasser, who perform jaw-dropping acts including disappearances, double levitations and fire cage escapes. Guests will also be shocked by Soul Mystique’sTM lightning-fast costume changes and the stunning skills of master fan manipulator, Po Cheng.

For some festive fun, guests can visit Santa Claus or snap a playful photo with his elves at Santa Tree Hut, or explorwaite Santa’s Whimsical Garden, an expansive Christmas-themed park featuring giant musical instrument themed topiaries. An international living statue artist will also be standing ready for those seasonal selfies. The all-new Penguin Dress-Up Delights will feature performers in adorable penguin costumes bouncing on stilts and dancing while handing out Christmas candies to the guests. Of course, the highlight of the evening will be Light Up The Night, during which the Park will light its gigantic 40-feet tall Christmas tree while pleasant Christmas Carols are sung underneath it. Guests will even have the chance to be invited on stage to help Santa turn on the Christmas tree lights!

Ocean Park’s famous Winter School is back! This year, the experience is enhanced through the use of illustrated children’s books for the first time ever, encourage parent-child bonding through the joy of reading. With custom-designed sections (2 levels), Super Animals Camp and The Animal School, children will learn about animals the illustrated books, by interacting with Ocean Park’s animal ambassadors during the three-day programme.

Of course, the end-of-year holidays wouldn’t be complete without delicious Christmas feasts, and Ocean Park has a full range of sweet and savory items for guests to enjoy. From delectable set menus featuring classic dishes such as Roast Turkey Breast with Cheese Cream Sauce or mouthwatering à la carte desserts such as Christmas Yule Log, to a refreshing Christmas Special drink, guests will be able to dine and have loads of fun as they explore the Park this December.

Ocean Park – Giving Back to the Community

As Hong Kong People’s Park, Ocean Park has launched different community initiatives to enable Hong Kong people from all walks of life to enjoy the Park’s offerings. These initiatives include: 1) concessionary admission for Hong Kong residents on their birthdays, Hong Kong residents aged 65 years and above, and holders of Registration Card for People with Disabilities; and 2) sponsored admission to individuals and members of families receiving assistance from the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme (CSSA), and Social Welfare Department member organizations. The Park also gives donation-in-kind to charitable organizations, offers special rates for school tours, and spearheads many other community caring projects. During the 2014/15 fiscal year, Ocean Park maintained a total of 13 social care programmes, with over 470,000 beneficiaries and an aggregate value to the community equivalent to over HK$140 million.
