Great Place to Work and Fortune Named Cadence One of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces For 2016

Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Cadence (NASDAQ: CDNS) today announced it has been named number 15 on the 2016 list of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces according to global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine.

The ranking is a result of the company’s global achievements, appearing in Great Place to Work lists in Canada, Greater China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Cadence moved up from number 21 on the list in 2015.

“I’m very proud that Cadence has been ranked as a World’s Best Multinational Workplace for the second year in a row,” said Lip-Bu Tan, Cadence president and CEO. “I am so enthusiastic about our strong company culture, which carries across every office around the globe. The people at Cadence are an important strategic differentiator driving innovation, customer commitment and ultimately our business success.”

To achieve the ranking, more than 1700 Cadence employees provided testimonials and feedback about their jobs, managers, teammates, opportunities for growth and benefits, among other factors. Consistently across the globe, employees say they are proud to work at Cadence for the camaraderie they enjoy with their coworkers and because they appreciate the impact of the work they do.

Great Place to Work research shows the number of organizations around the world named as a Best Workplace—or that have met the minimum standard of a great workplace—has almost doubled since 2011. Roughly 2200 workplaces employing roughly 6.1 million people achieved that distinction in 2011. In 2016, the number of great workplaces has reached approximately 4100, with a total of about 6.9 million employees.

“These organizations are well known because of their brand strength and success around the globe. But behind these successful companies are high-trust workplaces where the vast majority of employees feel valued, well treated and that their work makes a difference,” said Kim Peters, executive vice president of Great Place to Work. “Appearing on the list of Best Multinational Workplaces for the second year in a row, Cadence has shown a real commitment to creating an outstanding work environment worldwide. Congratulations to Cadence and all the globally great organizations!”
