Aptech Ltd shares jumped as much as 6.3 per cent to hit 52-week high of Rs. 186 after the company’s September quarter profit jumped nearly three-fold.
Mumbai-based Aptech’s net profit in September quarter came in at Rs. 7.17 crore on sales of Rs. 49.97 crore, compared with net profit of Rs. 2.75 crore on sales of Rs. 36.84 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
Aptech’s operating profit or EBITDA during the quarter rose over 100 per cent to Rs. 11.82 crore from Rs. 5.89 crore in the same quarter last year.
Aptech is engaged in business of providing learning solutions.
Earlier this year, ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala increased his stake in the company, leading to a rally in the company’s shares.
As of 11:03 a.m., shares of Aptech Ltd traded 4 per cent higher at Rs. 182, outperforming the Nifty which was up 0.6 per cent.
