BP Plc gets licence to sell jet fuel in India


The Indian subsidiary of British oil company BP Plc has been given a licence by the government to sell jet fuel in India, the Indian arm’s country head told Reuters.

Sashi Mukundan, regional president and India country head, BP, said that the company will soon start local sales of avaition turbine fuel (ATF).

India is a huge partner; it makes sense for us to be here, he said.

However, it was not immediately clear whether BP will sell its own jet fuel or tie up with a partner in India.
