Sonagiri and Indrapuri to be made Smart Colonies in next 2 years


Minister Gaur felicitates women associated with Swachchhata Abhiyan for last 2 years

Bhopal : Home and Jails Minister Babulal Gaur felicitated women belonging to ‘Sakaratmak Soch’ organisation here today. At a function at Indrapuri, Gaur felicitated the women when their works were lauded.

Gaur said that he is feeling elated to honour Smt. Kiran Sharma, Smt Rajkumari Joshi, Smt. Meena Gupta and Smt. Anju Vashishth for associating 250 women with sanitation works in and around their houses in Sonagiri and Indrapuri daily from 6 to 7 am under Pradhan Mantri’s Swachchhata Abhiyan since its launch in October 2014.

Gaur addressed Bhumi Poojan programme of widening of road from Raisen Road to Sonagiri at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh and road from Chhatrasal Nagar Phase-1 Ayodhya Bypass via Jubilee Gate costing Rs. 72 lakh. He said that Sonagiri and Indrapuri will be made Smart Colonies in next 2 years. Referring to development works in the state during last 2 years, Gaur said that the state government will further accelerate pace of development. He said that Hathaikhera will be developed as better tourist spot than Boat Club.

Former Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur said that Govindpura area is known for activeness of its people and public representatives for development works. She said that necessary works for development will be undertaken in all areas. Govindpura will be made model of development.

Corporators Surendra Wadika, Harishankar Mishra, G.R. Nagar, Smt. Laxmi Thakur, Shyam Mohan Shrivastava, Sardar Kathoriya and Daljeet Singh were also present on the occasion.
