GSK Consumer Healthcare falls as Q4 profit declines 8%


NEW DELHI: Shares of GSK Consumer Healthcare slumped 5 per cent in Wednesday’s trade after the company reported an 8.18 per cent decline in Q4 net profit to Rs 180.68 crore.

The company had reported net profit of Rs 196 crore for the same quarter of last financial year.

Reacting to the earnings , the scrip slipped 4.69 per cent to hit a low of Rs 5,800 onBSE. The stock has lost 8 per cent so far this year.

Net sales of the consumer healthcare company stood at Rs 1,058 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 1,165 crore reported for the same quarter last year, signifying a decline of 9.63 per cent.

The company, though, reported a dividend of Rs 70 on equity shares with a face value of Rs 10.
