Ahluwalia Contracts Soars 5% On New Order Wins


Ahluwalia Contracts shares soared nearly 5 per cent on Monday after the company said that it has bagged new orders worth Rs 493 crore for construction of institutional and commercial buildings.

In a release to Bombay Stock Exchange, the construction company said it has secured “new orders worth Rs 401.59 crore for construction of South Asian university campus at New Delhi and worth Rs 91.06 crore for structure and finishing work of Brookfield Asset Management”.

Currently, the unexecuted order book of Ahluwalia Contracts stands at Rs 4,507 crore, the company said.

As of 10.33 a.m., Ahluwalia Contracts shares traded 2.15 per cent higher at Rs 287.55 apiece, compared to 0.22 per cent fall in the broader Sensex.
