Star Health ties up with Bank of Baroda as bancassurance partner


CHENNAI: Star Health and Allied Insurance on Monday tied-up with Bank of Baroda as its bancassurance partner to help drive its insurance products at all the bank’s branches.
With the tie-up, Star Health hopes to reach Bank of Baroda’s 60 million customers across 5,000 branches. “This new association with Bank of Baroda will help us achieve Rs 3,000 crore in premium, higher than our target of Rs 2,750 crore for the year,” said V Jagannathan, CMD, Star Health and Allied Insurance.
Bank of Baroda has more than 2,000 trained and certified specified persons, who will be involved in marketing Star Health products, said PS Jayakumar, managing director and CEO, Bank of Baroda.
