21 youths had resolved to walk bare-footed till project’s completion
Forest Minister unveils “Kachre Se Kanchan Pariyojana”
Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar has described as laudable the efforts of 21 youths of Kharbai Gram Panchayat taking pledge to walk bare-foot till their Gram Panchayat became open defecation free. He said the youth have also set an example for entire state and county by contributing to proper waste management in the village. Dr. Shejwar stated this at a function where these youths were felicitated and ‘Kachre Se Kanchan Pariyojana’ was unveiled.
Dr. Shejwar helped Vice Chairman of State Swachchhata Mission Shri Sudhir Jain and the 21 youths wear footwear on fulfillment of their resolve and felicitated them with shawls.
Dr. Shejwar said that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also lauded these youths’ resolve. He said that even if 2-4 youths in every village of the district have such a commitment for sanitation, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of clean India will be realised. Lauding Prime Minister’s ‘Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan’, the Minister said that the Shri Modi has provided opportunity to every villager to contribute to his village’s development. He said that Sulabh Shauchalay and kitchen shade would also be constructed at village Veedpura Jod so that passengers do not have to resort to open defecation.
Zila Panchayat’s CEO Shri Swarochish Somvanshi said that Swachchh Sandhya Talkies will be conducted in all villages of the district. For this, 100 Gram Panchayats have been selected where message of Swachchhata Abhiyan and social concerns will be given through motion films. Besides, speeches of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during ‘Man Ki Baat’ programmes will also be aired.
