Chairman of National Tribal Commission visits Jhabua district


Chairman of National Tribal Commission Shri Rameshwar Oraon chaired a meeting at Jhabua today after visiting the district. Vice Chairman Shri Ravi Thakur was also present on the occasion.

Shri Oraon directed to solve problem of mixing of chemicals in Phut Talab industrial area in the district.

He directed PHE department to ensure proper arrangements for filtered water. He said that rejected forest land rights claims should be re-examined and pattas given to all eligible persons. He also directed to ensure attendance of children in schools and pay special attention to toilets and sanitation in all schools. He said that special attention should be paid to teaching of maths, science and English subjects. More plantation should be undertaken on school premises. Adequate material under Literacy Mission and timely payment of honorarium should be ensured. Shri Oraon directed to ensure regularly distribution of food grains through fair price shops. The Commission also reviewed activities of Animal Husbandry and ITDP departments.

Public representatives urged to introduce B Sc, B Ed. and M Ed. classes in all colleges of the district.
