FMCG major Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) on Tuesday reported 16.75 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 310 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015-16. GCPL had reported a net profit of Rs 265.57 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous financial year.
GCPL’s net sales stood at Rs 2,266 crore in Q4, rising 8.80 per cent against Rs 2,082.61 crore in the year-ago period.
For 2015-16 financial year, GCPL’s net profit was Rs 1,119.41 crore, compared with net profit of Rs 907 crore in the previous fiscal year.
GCPL’s net sales in the financial year were Rs 8,957 crore as against Rs 8,242 crore a year ago.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, GCPL said its Board of Directors has declared a fourth interim dividend of Rs 2.75 per share for the financial year 2015-16.
Shares of Godrej Consumer were trading at Rs 1,369.95 a piece, down 0.02 per cent on the BSE.
