‘Arnab Goswami, Sudhir Chaudhary get inducted to Power Brands Hall of Fame for being individual Power Brands all by themselves’

Planman Media launched the ‘New Look’ version of its News Magazine, “The Sunday Indian” on 18th March 2016 at a glittering function at ‘Franchise India presents Omaxe Power Brands Glam 2016’ at The Park, New Delhi. The power packed function also saw the launch of the 2015-16 edition of Power Brands along with the launch of Planman Media’s flagship Business and Marketing magazine, 4Ps. The function was presided over by Ms. Najma Heptulla, Minister for Minority Affairs.
The guests of honor at the event that was conducted in association with Times Now and Gitanjali, included Shri Sudhir Chaudhary – Channel Head and Editor in Chief of Zee News, Ms Archana Dalmiya from the Congress, Shri Chandan Mitra of BJP, Shri Shahnawaz Hussain – current spokesperson of BJP and former Cabinet Minister BJP, Shri Atul Kumar Anjaan – CPI – National Secretary, Shri Arun Kumar – National General Secretary, JDU, Shri D.P Tripathi – General Secretary, NCP, Ms Manjari Fadnis – film actor, Shri Gaurav Marya -Chairman, Franchise India, Shri Mohit Goel – CEO of Omaxe and Dr. J.K. Mitra, former Dean of FMS.
Speaking at the event Ms. Najma Heptulla said branding was extremely important for not just companies but also political parties and that the country was now being led by a big brand called Shri Narendra Modi who has replaced an old family brand.
Shri Sudhir Chaudhary, who was inducted into the Power Brands Hall of Fame for being a Power Brand himself in the world of media, spoke about the importance of Hindi as a medium to connect India.
Shri Arnab Goswami who was inducted into the Power Brands Hall of Fame couldn’t be present himself but sent a powerful message about the vision of Times Now while congratulating Planman Media for the relaunch of The Sunday Indian, a magazine he used to read himself (a link to the message https://youtu.be/oM5aH0ao35I).
Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri spoke on his belief in Brands and the concept of Power Brands. However, he was most excited about the new look launch of the magazine he had always been most passionate about – The Sunday Indian.

The event saw brand owners of the most Powerful Brands of India receiving their honors for being present inside the special – by invitation – only brand compendium, Power Brands 2015-16. It also saw the announcement of the “4ps Most Recognizable Brands of Indian Origin” and a select list of their brand owners being felicitated.
The research was done jointly by IIPM Think Tank and Franchise India. The event partners included, Bright Outdoor Media, Ravish Kapoor Innovative Invitations, RG Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital, Mandate and Brand Serve.
