Bhopal : On the occasion of International Women’s day on 8th March, Courtyard by Marriott is organizing a one day symposium ‘STRI- I’m Every Woman’ to discuss the core women issues and also ignored topics like financial independence, body shaming, women hygiene and gender attitudes prevailing in the society. The event will start at 10 in the morning and conclude at 2pm.
Mr. Manish Shanker Sharma, IG Bhopal will be delivering the inaugural speech as the guest of honor. Leading a discussion on ‘Inspiring the working woman of tomorrow’, Ranju Alex, General Manager, Marriott Resort and Spa, Goa will shower light on empowering the young women of the society. Mrs. Anuradha Shanker SDG Railway Police, the special guest of the symposium will share her views on gender issues, women rights and job opportunities in the present times. Also, many renowned personalities will talk about several key issues like, ‘Vocation as a Women Entrepreneur’ (Shibani Ghosh), ‘Finding your strengths’ (Nidhi Agarwal), ‘Importance of Education for the girl child’ (Sujata Lakhani). About the growing health issues among women, mostly the threats of breast and cervical cancer, Dr. Shalini Kapoor will talk about the taboos in our society and how we can overcome it.

Mr Hurtis informed that the second half of the programme will have a panel discussion which will discuss ‘Why India needs to celebrate its Women’. The keynote speakers of the panel discussion will be Mr. Abdul Jabbar, Ms. Farah Kidwai, Ms. Pratibha Lalwani, Mr. Shashi Keswani, Ms. Ranju Alex and Ms. Chandana Arora.
