Students should be given computer-amended marksheet : Governor

Bhopal : September , 2018 :Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel has said that serious efforts should be made to correct anomalies before and after the university examinations. Vice-Chancellors should strictly follow the ordinances and rules and pay attention that there should be no mistake is committed in work. She instructed the universities to provide marks sheet amended by computer to students.

The Governor said this in the 95th University Coordination Committee meeting. Higher Education Minister Jaibhan Singh Pavaiyya, senior officials of higher education , finance, law departments and vice-chancellors of government and private universities were present on the occasion.

The Governor said that the universities should try to get higher grades, competing with each other. It is the responsibility of all the universities that every university get a place in the list of leading universities in the country so that students from other places of the country and abroad come to obtain education here. She said that Madhya Pradesh has to be made the best state in the country in the field of education.

That’s why the universities should keep changing their curriculum. The Governor said that professors and lecturers teach by their own prepared notes in many universities that’s why students are not provided new information. Giving suggestion for training to professors and principals, she said that guidance from the experts should be taken for getting quality in education and higher grade in NAAC by university.

Smt Patel instructed Vice Chancellors to chalk out programmes for throughout the year from October 2 to mark Gandhi – 150 years. She said that boys and girl students should be informed about JI’s views and philosophy in context with Gandhi Ji’s visit of Africa and present changes in social and national situations.

The Governor said that vice chancellors should send detail regarding their visit abroad and outside states for attending programmes every month to the Raj Bhavan. She said that Lokpals should be appointed in the university where they are not appointed so far

Principal Secretary, higher education, Neeraj Mandloi, extending thanks, said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state where high level efforts are being made for education reforms.
