In a revolutionary step, Ola on Tuesday has launched its e-rickshaw category on its mobile app. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will book the first e-rickshaw through the Ola app as part of the ‘Stand up India’ initiative.
Will also flag-off 5,100 e-rickshaws under MUDRA Yojana and interact with beneficiaries, besides inaugurating a Kaushal Vikas Kendra in Noida, the Prime Minister tweeted earlier.
A total of 5,100 e-rickshaws are slated to be distributed and 151 women are set to receive the vehicles by the Prime Minister.

Ola starts e-rickshaw services in Delhi NCR region
On Tuesday, the ‘Stand up India’ initiative will be launched. This initiative will promote entrepreneurship among women, SC, and ST communities, the Prime Minister tweeted.
The launch event would involve a distribution of 5,100 e-rickshaws by Bhartiya Micro Credit (BMC) under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna scheme.
In addition, the recipients will also be covered under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana schemes and other eight significant schemes.
