National Conference To Discuss Myths About Thyroid

Bhopal: Thyroid has now become a common disease among the masses. Superficially its treatment looks easier but its not that easy. There are lots of myths associated with this disease. Right scientific approach is the only way to diagnose and treat it. We are organising a national conclave to educate physicians to the newer developments in the field of thyroid care.
This was informed at a press conference organised here on Saturday by senior physicians at Government Hamidia Hospital – Dr. Sachin Chittawar and Dr T.N. Dube. They informed that renowned medical experts from across the country will have a two way interaction on Thyroid – especially the myths associated with the disease. This conclave is being organised by the Research & Scientific Society of Gandhi Medical College. The conclave that will begin at 10 am at Hotel Courtyard by Marriott will be addressed by experts coming from various cities. Prominent among those include Dr. Rajesh Khadgawat from AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr Sameer Agrawal from PGI Rohtak, Dr. Deepak Khandelwal & Dr Rajeev Singla from New Delhi. Besides lectures by the experts there will be a panel discussion to dig the subject deeper. The experts will also answer the queries from city practitioners.
Dr. Chittawar further said that the subjects that will be prominently discussed include definition of thyroid, complications, thyroid management during pregnancy and the myths associated with thyroid.
