Panaji: Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar was on Thursday discharged from the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, a week after he was admitted there for a pancreatic ailment.
Soon after his discharge, he flew in Panaji and attended a cabinet meeting held in the Assembly complex before presenting the state annual budget.
“Parrikar has arrived in Goa. It is a good piece of news that he has been discharged,” deputy speaker of Goa Assembly Michael Lobo told reporters outside the Assembly.
Parrikar was being treated in Mumbai for pancreatitis since 15 February.
“Parrikar has so much will power that he has recovered, and if he thinks that he should table the budget, he will come and do it,” Lobo said.
After landing in Goa, Parrikar went to his residence in Panaji.livemint
