Delhi Chief Secretary alleges assault by two AAP MLAs at Kerjiwal’s residence

Delhi chief secretary Anshu Prakash has claimed he was assaulted by two AAP MLAs at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.

Prakash alleged he was assaulted by Ajay Dutt and Prakash Jharwal. He has met the Delhi Lieutenant Governor and filed a complaint against the MLAs.

The Chief Minister’s office has denied the incident, saying “Delhi CM office strongly denies allegations by the Chief Secretary. There was no incident of assault or attempted assault by any AAP MLAs.”

“The allegation of assault is totally bizarre and baseless,” a senior official of the chief minister’s office (CMO) said.

A group of IAS officers have met the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and demanded FIRs against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, reports Hindustan Times.

Prakash had been summoned to the Delhi CM’s residence for Aadhaar-related issues, reports NDTV.

A source told PTI the Chief Secretary’s glasses had broken.

“There was a heated exchange at the meeting last night. During the argument, two-three AAP MLAs manhandled him… the CS’s spectacles also got broken,” senior IAS official told PTI.moneycontrol
