Bhopal to host ISIE Hybrid Car racing Championship

  •   53 teams to participate in Asia’s largest eco-friendly motor sport.
  •   The experts from DRDO, ARAI, Hero Motocorp, L&T, A1 Mullah Group (Kuwait), TVS and   IIT Mumbai will be the judge.
  • Speed queen of India Mira Irda will be the part of closure ceremony.

Bhopal, 24 January, 2016:  Asia’s largest and one of its own kind of Hybrid Car racing Championship is going to be held at the RPM International Circuit, Ratibad. The race has been organised by the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers, India (ISIE). The much awaited Eco-friendly race will thrill the people from 24 January to 27 January. Students from more than 50 engineering colleges will enjoy the race. Speed queen of India Mira Erda will participate in the closing ceremony of the event.


Talents from various highly prestigious technical institutions like IITs, NITs and colleges will showcase internal combustion engine up to 209cc and 1.5 kw electric motor hybrid cars to race against each other in 53 different teams. By developing it as a substitute to the traditional fuels like petrol, diesel and gas, these cars will demonstrate the unique combination of mechanical, electrical and computer engineering. These cars will not only showcase future engineering prospects but also solutions and possibilities to save the environment.


To promote the vision of clean energy usage in auto-mobiles in the country, many educational institutions, auto mobile engineering companies, e-commerce companies are supporting the race. The experts from government of India’s Defence Research and Development organisation (DRDO) and Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) along with Hero Motocorp, L&T, A1 Mullah Group (Kuwait), TVS and IIT Mumbai will judge the Hybrid car racing promoting renewable energy.


Mr. Vinod Gupta, Head ISIE told, “ The future of auto mobile industry lies on Hybrid vehicles. These cars will be equipped with renewable energy resulting in zero percent pollution emission. Auto mobile giants are flowing fat pocket on developing hybrid vehicles. The largest car manufacturing companies of the world like Toyota, Honda, Audi and Porche have already developed several such cars and have launched and showed in various auto shows and Hybrid car races.
