Bhopal, December, 2018: The first ever literature and art festival of Central India – Heartland Stories- will be held from January 12 to 14 at multi art centre Bharat Bhawan. Union minister of state for Tourism Alphons Kannanthanam will inaugurate it on 10.15 am on January 12. The three day festival is being organised by Society For Culture & Environment in association with Sahitya Academy and Ministry of Tourism.

Authors, educationists, artists, civil servants and intellectuals from literary field from India, UK, USA and Austria will attend the festival. In order to take stock of festival preparations organising committee chairman Mr. Raghav Chandra (IAS) visited Bharat Bhawan.
This was informed in a press release issued here on Saturday by organising committee co-director Dr. Meera Das. She said to ensure a wholesome and enhanced experience the Festival is being organized in three parallel sessions with the specialists speaking from their books on subjects as varied as Art & Lifestyle, Dialogue & Discussion, History & Mythology, Biography, Environment & Conservation, Defence & Diplomacy, Culture & Society, India:
The Path Ahead and Memory & Creativity in Literature. The process of book writing the required decades of work by some authors, a journey that must have been marked with interesting episodes, which if shared by the authors would provide a completely new flavor and dimension to the book reading experience.
