French global telecommunications equipment company Alcatel has announced its new flagship Idol 4 and Idol 4S smartphones, which would be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on Monday.
Both handset promises two powerful 3.6 watt speakers and Hi-Fi surround-sound.
The Idol 4 is the direct successor of last year’s model with a smaller 5.2-inch 1080p display, an octa-core processor, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 3GB of RAM, the Verge reports.
However, the Idol 4 only comes with 16GB of internal memory while the Idol 4S has 32GB memory.
Headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, the company focuses on fixed mobile and converged networking hardware, IP technologies, software and services with operations in more than 130 countries.
